Trust and methodology

Editorial Policy

We write for the homeowner's decision, not for a keyword count or a contractor's sales script.

Source hierarchy

Current primary sources are preferred for regulations, permits, storms, tides, weather and technical standards. These include local governments, FDEP, USACE, FEMA, NOAA, NHC and NWS. Secondary sources may add context but should not replace an available authoritative source.

Claims and uncertainty

We separate confirmed facts from general guidance, estimates and site-dependent judgment. We do not invent project history, credentials, permit rules, prices, service life or storm effects.

Commercial separation

Advertising is labeled. Estimate invitations appear where professional help logically follows. Payment, advertising or lead value does not determine technical conclusions.

Updates

Permit and weather-sensitive pages display a last-verified date. Material changes should be sourced and dated. Older pages are not silently presented as current when a requirement may have changed.

Professional boundary

This page provides general homeowner education. It does not determine structural safety, prescribe a repair or replace agency and professional review for a specific property.
